An operator, not a platform
Most companies selling AI training data are intermediaries: they route your work to a pool of strangers and hold none of the risk. Corpshore is structured the other way round. We own the sites, employ the teams through registered entities in each country, and stay accountable from the first recording to the delivered dataset.
Jwuma say joo-ma
Adapted from adwuma, the Akan word for work, spoken across Ghana in Twi and Fante by roughly twenty million people.
The Akan word is adwuma, pronounced a-JOO-ma. Jwuma is a deliberate adaptation of it rather than the word itself: the spelling drops the leading vowel so the name carries the sound English speakers actually hear, while keeping the root intact for anyone who recognises it. We call it an adaptation rather than a translation because that is what it is, and the people most likely to notice the difference are Twi speakers, who are among the people this platform was built for.
The choice was not decorative. Corpshore's first delivery centre outside its founding markets was in Ghana, and Akan language data was some of the earliest work the network ran. Naming the platform after the Akan word for work records where the operation actually started, in a sector that more often reaches for a Latin root and a shortened domain.
That lineage is the point commercially. You are not contracting with a marketplace that brokers strangers. Corpshore Solutions provides the legal entities, the payroll and the compliance in each country; Corpshore AI runs the data operations; Jwuma is the software all of it runs on. One accountable chain, from the person doing the work to the invoice you receive.

Four commitments, and what they cost us
Each of these makes us slower or more expensive than a pure brokerage. They are the reasons the work holds up.
We own the infrastructure
The delivery centres are ours, on leases we hold, with equipment we bought. A marketplace can tell you a job was done; we can tell you which site it was done in and who supervised it.
The people are employed, not brokered
Contributors are contracted by the Corpshore entity registered in their own country, on local payroll under local employment practice. That is slower to build than a contractor pool and it is the reason quality holds.
One accountable SLA
From collection through annotation, QA and delivery, one company is answerable. There is no point in the chain where responsibility transfers to a subcontractor you have never met.
We pay fairly in every market
Rates are set against local living costs rather than against the cheapest bid available. It is a commercial position as much as an ethical one: underpaid annotation is unreliable annotation.
